Persons taking post-specific training are expected to have successfully completed a provincially-approved basic training course.

Access Control & Concierge Services

Access Control & Concierge Services presents strategies that blend security and customer service. Access control focuses on access control principles and access control systems. Concierge services focuses on principles of customer service while ensuring the safety and security of the premises. (2 hr; 15 days to complete)

Loss Prevention

Loss Prevention provides an overview of strategies to minimize theft, fraud, and shrinkage in retail environments. Learners will learn the fundamentals of loss prevention, including identifying risk factors, understanding the role of surveillance and technology, and implementing effective security measures. This course covers best practices for employee training, customer service approaches, and legal considerations in loss prevention. By the end of the course, learners will be equipped with practical tools and knowledge to protect assets, reduce losses, and enhance the overall security of their retail operations. Mobile Patrol and Response

Mobile Patrol and Response presents theoretical and practical aspects of driving theory for security professionals using motorized vehicles to patrol and attend situations. This course presents information and strategies on vehicle inspection and preparation, defensive driving, mobile patrols, and response procedures.
