These are core courses required to get certified as a security professional and/or private investigator. Each province has different training requirements and approval processes.

Ontario Basic Security Training is the required course to become a security professional in Ontario. 12 sections are organized into the following topics: legislation, communication, documentation, risk management, and situation management.
Once you have completed the BC BST training, take advanced CA🍁SP courses to hone your skills throughout your career.
There is no required basic security training in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island.
CA🍁SP strongly recommends taking basic security training from a province that offers it, and then taking in-service courses to hone your skills throughout your career.
There is no required basic security training in Northwest Territories, Nunavut, and Yukon.
