This leaves a vacuum in the enforcement of minor offences and community policing: welfare checks, investigate noise and disturbance complaints, investigate bylaw complaints, investigate lost property, de-escalate disputes, etc. |

Security professionals are ideally positioned to take over these responsibilities and be the first link in the emergency response chain.
This training provides security professionals with the knowledge and skills to assess situations, handle minor situations themself, and bring the appropriate emergency services as required. (four weeks; four months to complete)
Online courses (??? hr): Tactical Communication, Situational Awareness, Situation Management, Uniformed Patrol and Surveillance, Trauma-informed Care, Mental Health First Aid, Legislation and Legal Procedures, Report Writing, and Court Procedures.
In-person courses: first aid & CPR (8 or 16 hr), physical control tactics (40 hr), Enforcement Procedures (??? hr), and Arrest and Search Procedures (??? hr).
